We assist home buyers with most legal issues relating to the purchase of a home.
- Review of buyer/seller contract
- Review closing documents for accuracy
- Represent buyers during closing
Buying a home is the largest and most important purchase you will ever make in your life.
In most residential home sales, the real estate agent or broker will provide a fill-in-the-blank contract for the purchaser to fill in the blanks. Those contracts tend to be long and complicated, and chiefly are written for agents by agents to protect the agent, not for the buyers who may not understand the legal problems that may arise from unclear contract language.
We encourage our clients to check with us before signing any contract to ensure the terms are fair, clear and in their best interest. In many cases, we can find mathematical errors or contract language that is ambiguous and confusing.
Whether you are signing a contract as a purchaser or seller, you need to understand your responsibilities. We can review the contract and closing documents, explain them to you, and make sure you know your obligations.
If you have questions about any aspect of residential real estate transactions and what we can
do for you, please contact us.
